KVKK Clarification Text

Prepared pursuant to Article 10 of the Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 ("KVKK") in order to fulfill the disclosure obligation by SERMATEK MAKİNA SAN. VE DIŞ TİC. LTD. ŞTİ. in its capacity as data controller.

1. Identity of the Data Controller

2. Personal Data Processed and Method of Collection

Your identity and contact information (name, surname, salutation, email, phone, company, country, address), request details (message, related product, subject, language), and, if you use the customer portal, your account and product ownership details are collected electronically through forms on our website and the portal via automated/partially automated methods.

Additionally, if you accept the cookie notification or do not reject cookies in your browser; cookie identifiers and related site usage data (pages viewed, referral source, device and browser type, country/region-level location, and measured actions such as form submissions and contact link clicks) are automatically collected via cookies. 3. Purposes of Processing

  • Responding to your quotation and contact requests, and communicating with you,
  • Managing your customer portal account and product/warranty records,
  • Providing service and after-sales support,
  • Ensuring information and system security, preventing misuse,
  • Fulfilling our legal obligations,
  • Measuring advertising performance and managing our advertising budget,
  • Analyzing website usage to improve our website.

4. Legal Grounds (KVKK Art. 5)

Establishment or performance of a contract; fulfillment of a legal obligation; legitimate interests of the data controller; and where necessary, your explicit consent.

5. Data Transfer

Your data is shared on a limited basis with our email (SMTP) provider, Telegram (if enabled), Cloudflare for bot verification, our hosting provider, and Google Ireland Limited for ad measurement and site analytics. Cross-border data transfers are carried out with appropriate safeguards within the scope of KVKK Art. 9 and, where necessary, based on your explicit consent. 6. Your Rights Under KVKK Art. 11

You have the right to learn whether your personal data is processed, request information, request rectification/erasure, object to processing, and demand compensation for damages. You may submit your applications to kvkk@sermatek.com following the procedure on the Data Subject Application page.
